When I was in my teen years, a good friend of mine had one of these dogs. Sometimes I would go to her house to find the all family trying to get the dog out from under the bed!!! The Dachshund originated in Germany in the early 1600s and they were bred to hunt rabbits. The Dachshund can hunt and follow the rabbit inside the burrows because he has short legs. This breed has an instinct to dig!! They can be difficult to train! They need strong leadership! This Dachshung Canvas captured the curious character of this dog in simple and decisive brushes!
